The Doctoral Academy is here to support postgraduate researchers and supervisors across the university. Its core responsibilities are: delivering an excellent Researcher Development Programme; sharing good practice in supervision; signposting specialist support for postgraduates across the university; and for the quality assurance and monitoring of postgraduate researcher progress.

As the home of the doctorate at LJMU, we work with in partnership with Schools, Faculties, and Professional Services to harmonise the quality of the postgraduate research (PGR) experience across the university and to ensure that we have a supportive environment for the intellectual interests of our postgraduates, including the facilitation of social events, conferences and workshops.
