What is a Degree Apprenticeship?
A Degree Apprenticeship is an exciting new route into work-based learning that enables apprentices to achieve a full degree while developing practical skills in the workplace. Employers benefit from sponsoring an apprentice by gaining a highly-skilled employee with both the academic qualifications and the relevant knowledge shaped by their on-the-job experience.
The apprentice will spend 80% of their time at work and study part-time for 20% of their time, ensuring that they develop an in-depth understanding of the sector while bringing a fresh perspective and higher level knowledge and skills to the business. They can take up to five years to complete their degree with a final assessment carried out by a professional body.
