Computer Science courses
Computer Science covers a wide range of research areas. It focuses on key specialisms within the School. These include:

Over the last five years, researchers in the our school have secured significant funding. This funding comes from national, European and industry sources. These include Horizon Europe, UKRI, Innovate UK, DSIT, BBSRC, EPSRC, the Home Office, NHS partners and international collaborators.
Funded projects cover a broad range of topics. From artificial intelligence, to digital twins for healthcare and cyber security. Other areas include digital connectivity, machine learning, environmental modelling, healthy ageing and data science. Awards range from smaller grants to large international programmes worth millions.
Our research community is active in global academic networks. Staff regularly contribute to leading international conferences, including IEEE and ACM events.
