How it works
We’ll start with an initial conversation and come together to outline and agree a consultancy brief. We will discuss with you project length and dates in the first instance to ensure feasibility and expectations.
We will then match you with a student consultancy team (made up of undergraduate and masters students) who will work with you to identify solutions to the specific challenges faced by your business.
You can expect your student consultancy team to contact you initially via email, after which you will both outline and agree how best to communicate over the course of the project. For example, this could be through weekly email reports, video calls, video presentations or possibly face-to-face meetings (as Covid-19 government guidelines allow).
In addition to the project brief it will be expected that you are able to provide students with information and support that they need to fulfil the brief. The student consultancy teams will make their final recommendations in form of a report or other means, as agreed at the start of the project.
A level of confidentiality and commercial sensitivity will be established on a case-by-case basis and appropriate measures will be put in place if required. The module team from Liverpool Business School will support the student consultancy teams and individuals, providing guidance - through regular workshops and supervision, giving feedback when necessary.
Get involved
We understand that each request will be very specific to your business needs. In the first instance we ask you to send an email to LBSBusinessClinic@ljmu.ac.uk outlining your initial ideas, please do include your business name, website address and a contact telephone number.
