The Doctoral Academy Team

The Doctoral Academy is part of the Knowledge Engagement service. We are here to support postgraduate researchers (PGRs) and supervisors at every stage of the research journey, from application to final completion.

We are responsible for:

  • the PhD and MPhil admissions process
  • the regulations and policies that structure PhD and MPhil research degrees
  • maintaining accurate registration and progression records for all PGRs
  • providing training programmes and development opportunities for PGRs
  • fostering a dynamic and inclusive PGR community
  • supporting supervisors and examiners with training and guidance
