Lime Street Station to the Mount Pleasant Campus
Get directions to the Mount Pleasant Campus. The building is adjacent to the Metropolitan Cathedral and can be entered from Brownlow Hill or from Mount Pleasant.

Mount Pleasant Campus
While there is no onsite parking at the University, there are plenty of car parking* options in the immediate area within easy walking distance. There is a car park located on Mount Pleasant and on Brownlow Hill.
City Campus
Onsite parking is for permit holders only. Visit the links above to find the most convenient car parking* options within the area.
The NCP car parks on Pall Mall and Moorfields and the council car park on Fontenoy Street is a short walk from our City Campus.

Arriving by road
From the M62: at the end of the motorway continue straight ahead onto Edge Lane (A5080 then A5047) and follow signs for Liverpool City Centre and the Metropolitan Cathedral.

Rail
Both the Mount Pleasant Campus and the City Campus are within walking distance from Liverpool Lime Street. There will be staff/student helpers on hand.
As with any trip, it's really important that you plan your journey in advance and take into account any disruption to roads, buses, or rail. Local updates can be found on the Merseytravel website.

Coach
The coach station is located at Liverpool One Bus Station, Canning Place, Liverpool L1 8LB, in the heart of Liverpool's city centre.
If you're headed to the Mount Pleasant Campus, it's best to walk up Hanover Street, onto Ranelagh Street and up Brownlow Hill. For our City Campus, proceed via Paradise Street (retail area) and onto Whitechapel. Continue past St George's Hall/St. John's Gardens for our buildings on Byrom Street or turn left up Old Haymarket and then up Hatton Garden for the Tithebarn Building.

Megabus
Ferry
Mersey Ferries operates services between Pier Head and Birkenhead/Wallasey on the Wirral. You can also sail between Liverpool and Belfast and the Isle of Man. Once in Liverpool, follow signs for the Metropolitan Catholic Cathedral, or for Lime Street Station, then follow directions to the university from the station, as listed above.

Air
If you're flying into Liverpool John Lennon Airport, there are plenty of bus routes available. The 500 bus service travels between Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Liverpool ONE bus station, which is located in the heart of the city centre.
Alternatively, for a shorter walk to our university buildings, you can catch a bus to Liverpool South Parkway station and arrive into Liverpool Lime Street station by rail.
Travelling from Manchester Airport is just as easy with both train and coach options.

Public transport advice
Merseyside has a comprehensive public transport network serving Liverpool city centre and the surrounding area. Public transport options include buses, trains and the famous Mersey Ferries and are a great way of getting around locally and seeing more of the wider region.
