Summer school

Together with our partner universities around the world, we offer summer schools for groups of students, usually 1-2 weeks long. Most of the programmes mix academic activities, community outreach, student collaborations and cultural immersion. A summer school is a great way to expand your world, add to your CV and build lasting connections.

For the summer 2020 LJMU are sending students to Colombia, European partners, India, and Indonesia. These will be funded programmes, meaning the cost of flights, accommodation and most activities will be covered by LJMU.

Most of the summer schools are open to all Level 4 and 5 students who have previously not gone on a summer school abroad with LJMU. To find out more come to one of our information sessions:

  • Tuesday 3 March 2020 - Redmonds Building Lecture Theatre 1
  • Wednesday 4 March 2020 - Byrom Street BS/102

You can also attend one of our drop-in and application clinics in the Careers Zones:

  • Byrom Street - Tuesday 1.00 - 3.00pm
  • Aldham Robarts Library - Thursday 1.00 - 3.00pm

Applications open on Friday 28 February and close on Friday 13 March 2020.
