I am currently working towards a PhD in peatland restoration processes titled:
The ecological and biogeochemical processes involved in restoring peatland functionality: a practice-based approach for informing biodiversity and carbon sequestration policy and management.
I have 3 years experience in peatland restoration both lowland and upland restoration processes at a landscape scale. As part of this i am involved in trialling new methods of restoration and alternative land uses including Paludiculture and Carbon Farming.
I am also working towards a closer working relationship between site mangers and practioners and ongoing research into both restoration processes and ecosystem functionality.
