I am an enthusiastic, punctual and highly motivated Research Scientist. My degree provided me with practical experience in many aspects of chemistry (including polymer, analytical and environmental). My Post-Graduate degree (MSc) specialised my skills in ‘Restoration’ aspects of the environment and has given me a great understanding of the environment as a whole and its many scientific functions. The Master's Degree also gave me vital experience and attained knowledge in Cell Biology, Microbiology and Forensic Anthropology over the course of the program. I have practical experience in environmental consultancy and management plans for various aspects of an areas environment. I aided (as role of editor and major contributor) Wrexham County Borough Council to complete and publish their State of the Environment Report 2000-2001 edition). Since then, I have drawn up an environmental management plan for the Legacy Environmental Education Centre, which is located near Wrexham as part of my Masters dissertation. This management plan was consequently adopted. My expertise and laboratory skills mean that I am comfortable in a laboratory environment and I enjoy working in such an environment as well as performing research and consultancy where required. After garnering significant experience in the laboratory and in the field of environmental analysis over many years in industry I am now looking to further my career in the field of ecology/environmental consultancy and academic research. Since joining Liverpool John Moores University in March of 2014 I have commenced an MPhil to PhD course of study examining 'The spatial occurrence and dynamics of trace metals in Meres and Mosses Nature Improvement Area'. As well as this course of study I have also obtained 'Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy' status via the 3I's programme at LJMU with a study on 'Usefulness of varying Inquiry in Laboratory Session Pedagogy for Geoscience in Introductory Higher Education'. During this period I have had the privilege to be the Postgraduate Representative for the School of Biological and Environmental Science as well as reporting to the Doctoral Academy for the Faculty of Science.
