Race Equality Charter Survey Privacy Statement
Email addresses are only requested for the purposes of identifying the winners of the prize draw and to identify if individuals would like further involvement with activities linked to the Race Equality Charter e.g. future focus groups. If you have indicated that you do not wish to participate further than your email address will be deleted once the survey and prize draw process has been completed.
If you indicate that you would like to participate further than we will keep a record of your email address to contact you in relation to future activities linked to the Race Equality Charter. We will delete any emails held once LJMU’s applications for the Race Equality Charter has been submitted. Your email address and preference to participate further cannot be linked to your Race Equality Survey responses.
The data will not be used for any automated decision making, such as profiling.
You have a number of rights under data protection legislation. These include the right:
- of access to the personal data that the University holds about you
- to have your personal data rectified
- to be forgotten (erasure)
- to restrict the processing of your personal data
- to data portability
You also retain the right to lodge a complaint about the handling of your personal data to the Information Commissioners’ Office (ICO). Further details about the ICO can be found on the ICO website.
