Course aim

This module is ideal for healthcare practitioners looking to expand their expertise in managing emergency cases across diverse settings. Course content

This module will run for 15 weeks and will commence in April and run on a Wednesday. 

There are 12 weeks of face-to-face sessions at our School of Nursing and Advanced Practice, Tithebarn Building (L2 2ER), in the heart of Liverpool city centre. 

This module enables you to explore the drivers - both political and policy related - in relation to the management of the emergency presentation. The module encourages the consideration of contemporary management of patients presenting with emergency conditions, and these will be explored across the systems. 

Delivery consists of sessions that are lecture/seminar-based, with the opportunity for workshops and tutorial support that may include role play, classroom activities and/or simulation and discussions.

The assessment for this module culminates in week 15 with a written essay.
