Having relocated to Merseyside in 2007, in order to take up the role of Head of Human Resources at Jaguar Land Rover’s Halewood factory in Liverpool, Mark, his wife, Jennie, and their two (then!) young children soon all fell in love with the Liverpool City Region and have since made it their family home.

 A Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel & Development, Mark is a former HR Director of Tata Chemicals Europe (Cheshire) and Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK (Sunderland).  His final ‘9-5’ role was that of Chief People Officer at Essar Oil (UK), based in Ellesmere Port.

 Mark is now building an exciting ‘portfolio career’ - as well as joining the Board of LJMU, he is a Trustee of the Anthony Walker Foundation, also based in Liverpool.  And he is a Member of the NHS Pay Review Body, a Magistrate and an Employer Member of the Central Arbitration Committee.

 Finally, reflecting his love of sport, Mark is the Vice-Chair of Southport Rugby Football Club.
