I am a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University with specific interest in research relating to climate action. I have particular interest and experience in third-wave therapies (e.g., Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and Solution-Focussed Therapy. I am an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist and a PhD. I completed my clinical training at the University of Exeter and, post-qualification, worked in an autism spectrum service for adults, providing assessment and post-diagnostic support. Prior to clinical training, I worked in the Centre for Pain Research at the University of Bath, with specific focus on research into telehealth interventions for people experiencing chronic pain. I completed my PhD at the University of the West of England.
My current research interests relate to climate action and how psychology can helpfully contribute to supporting the societal change required in the face of the present climate crisis. I welcome contact from those looking to collaborate in this area.
Additionally, I have conducted and been involved in research relating to intolerance of uncertainty, technology-based interventions, chronic pain, appearance and self-concept, and information process biases.
