I am currently Programme Leader for B.A. (Hons) Midwifery and senior midwifery lecturer. My International work includes my role as International Mobility Coordinator (Allied Health) for the School of Nursing and Allied Health, a recipient of a BJM Award and working collaboratively with Commonwealth Fellowship Award Participants. Further roles have included working as a Supervisor of Midwives (SOM) at Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust, and clinical shifts in a specialist antenatal clinic.

I have recently obtained funding from LJMU to study for a part-time PhD, my area of research is "Negation in the Childbearing Continuum: An in-depth exploration of women's experiences. I commenced my PhD studies in November 2016.

My area of expertise is working with vulnerable families, public health and safeguarding within midwifery, and I have previously managed a specialist midwifery team with the public health remit.
