Dr. Andre DL Batako obtained his bachelor degree 1981 Mechanical Engineering (Togo) and his Masters degree in Manufacturing Technology Machine Tools and Tools in former Soviet Union in 1988. He worked about 10 years in automotive industry and return to research activities to obtain his PhD in Dynamics of vibro-impact system at Loughborough University (UK) in 2004.
He is current working in Liverpool John Moores University (UK) where he leads a team of researchers in the field of controlled vibration assisted high efficiency machining in the advanced Manufacturing Technology Laboratory. He has a strong link with industry (Rolls Royce, Jones and Shipman, Bosch, Fuchs and others) and Universities in Eastern Europe (Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Georgia and others).
He is fluent in French English and Russian. He has published over 120 technical, conference and international journal papers, 2 books and 2 book chapters and successfully supervised over 15 PhD’s and 5 international PhD.
Dr Batako is member of the manufacturing steering committee for the IET Merseyside & Chestershire, Board member of Global Congress Manufacturing and Management (GCMM) and is hosting the GCMM2020 congress for the first time in Europe, in 2021 in LJMU (https://www.ljmu.ac.uk/conferences/gcmm2020).
He was member of the editorial board for Elsevier Heliyon, 2016-2021
guest editor for Procedia Manufacturing (Elsevier), IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, Springer Nature Intelligent Methods and Systems in Production Engineering; MDPI: materials, (Advanced Manufacturing and production management)
He is open to collaboration in the development of Vibro-Impact systems and Hybrid Intelligent Machine Tools for sustainable manufacturing that is ready for industry 4.0, and Applied Engineering education in developing countries.
