Prior to her appointment at LJMU in February 2018, Sofia was a Lecturer in Law at Aberystwyth University.
Teaching
At Undergraduate level, Sofia is module leader for the Foundations and Independent Legal Learning module at Level 4. She is also a member of the Land Law, Equity and Public International Law team for the LLB programme.
At Postgraduate level, Sofia is a member of the LLM QL Land Law and Equity team. She is also module leader for the LLM Democracy, Human Rights and Rule of Law module and a member of the International Human Rights law module.
Research
Following her experience of working as a volunteer for international organisations, such as Medecins Sans Frontieres and UNICEF, her research interests lie primarily in the area of international law, human rights, self-determination and democratisation.
Sofia is currently the book review editor for the Liverpool Law review.
Administration
Sofia is the Admissions Tutor for the Law School.
