Rachael joined Liverpool John Moore's University in 2022, lecturing predominantly across the Degree Holders Entry Programme and the Undergraduate Professional Policing Degree, within the LCAPS department. Rachael is Module Lead for Evidence Based Policing and Practice Procedure and Criminal Law, teaching across a variety of subjects including; Safeguarding, Public Protection, Equality and Diversity, Violence against Women and Girls, Police Powers, Criminal Justice Systems and Academic Skills. In her current role, Rachael oversees the organisation of Open Day events attendance for the LCAPS department.

Prior to her role with LJMU, Rachael was Programme Lead for the Policing Studies foundation degree at Hugh Baird University Centre. Alongside this, she also held the position of Lecturer in Criminology and Associate Lecturer for University of Central Lancashire.

Rachael holds a 1st Class Honours Degree in Law, a PGCE in Post Compulsory Education and Training, and is embarking upon the MA in Criminal Justice this year. Her research interests include the criminalisation of vulnerable people, human trafficking and hate crime.
