Andrew is the Subject Lead for Physical Education in the School of Education. He teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, as well as supporting the supervision of PhD students. Andrew’s research interests include teaching and learning in sports coaching and PE, coach education and the athlete-coach relationship. His PhD focuses on exploring the athlete-coach relationship in high-performance football settings.
Andrew has significant experience in both participation and performance environments. Previously he has worked for eight years as a Physical Education teacher in secondary schools. He is also a UEFA A Licensed football coach and has worked in performance settings for both Liverpool FC and The English FA. He currently works as a Technical Coach with the England Women’s National Talent Pathway.
