From free breakfasts and lunches, laundry product giveaways and writing for wellbeing workshops, LJMU has a month’s worth of free events for all students to get involved in this Feel Fab Feb.

What is Feel Fab Feb? 

We want to help all our students flourish and thrive, maintaining their health and wellbeing by making well-informed choices and having support on hand. That’s why this February we’re shining a spotlight on the importance of wellbeing with a month’s worth of events for all students to get involved in; Feel Fab Feb. 

What are the wellbeing activities and how do I sign up? 

Student Advice and Wellbeing 

Our SAW team has a range of student wellbeing activities, from Neurodiversity Support Group sessions to Bibliotherapy: Writing for Wellbeing. There will also be a toiletries/hygiene products giveaway at our James Parsons Building.

John Moores Students’ Union (JMSU) 

For Time to Talk Day (Thursday 1 February) JMSU are hosting: 

  • A free student breakfast in the Student Life Building, 9.30am to 11.30am 

  • A free student lunch in the Tithebarn Buidilng, 12.30pm to 2.30pm 

JMSU are also hosting Safeguarding Awareness Training and Bystander Training within the month. 

LJMU Sport 

Our LJMU Sport and Activity Department are encouraging students to join the LJMU gym this month. It’s just a one off payment of £20 and you’ll get a gym membership from now until 31 August 2024, with full access to the Sport Building including the gym, sports hall and classes 

There’s also free Play Sport Sessions for all students to get involved in from Badminton and Trampolining to Dodgeball and Archery. 

LJMU Student Futures 

Our Student Futures team has a range of events for students’ wellbeing when it comes to planning for the future and your career. Highlights of the month include the drop in CV Cafe and the Final Year Support and Job Fair in the Student Life Building on Wednesday 21 February.
