School of Psychology

The School of Psychology is a vibrant, inclusive and research-active community. We bring together students, academics, and researchers who are curious about the mind and behaviour. We are also interested in how psychology can address the challenges facing society.

Our research covers both foundational and applied psychology. It creates opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and meaningful impact. Our researchers work with local and national stakeholders using cutting-edge laboratory resources. These include healthcare providers, charities, and businesses.

The School offers a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. There is also opportunities to pursue doctoral pathways. Students are provided with a supportive and stimulating learning environment. We provide them with the tools to develop their knowledge, critical thinking and professional skills.

Research-active academics contribute to teaching and supervision at all levels. This means students learn from those who are currently shaping the field. They benefit from being part of a community where current psychological research informs every stage of learning.
