"This was very interesting as I met people whom I had not met previously, it led to exciting discussions about potential research links. It is relatively easy to see connections with people in the same school but unexpected and perhaps even more dynamic opportunities can occur with people from different faculties. I have been considering some different angles with research since attending the event and so I would recommend that others attend on future occasions in the hope that this might also happen for them too."

“Thanks for today’s network meeting, I was delighted you invited Ian from Centre for Advanced Policing as I hoped. I would have really struggled to make the connection and have time to explain our research and how we could collaborate. As a direct consequence we are contacting Merseyside Police to present our research to identify appropriate support to develop the idea further.
I think academics could make greater use of this event, it is a great way to meet colleagues from different disciplines and discuss the potential for collaboration. The mince pies were very nice too”
