Performance Indicators and Benchmarking

This activity Covers the environmental scanning, collation, monitoring and reporting of measures of University performance internally, across the sector and across our peers.

The university uses a range of indicators in which to monitor its performance in relation to its strategic aims. These performance indicators are based on the student HESA returns and are available on the WebHub under ‘Reporting > Performance Indicators’.

LJMU benchmarks its performance against both the sector and a selected peer group of institutions that share similar characteristics and/or missions. Benchmarking information includes data provided by HESA but also other external sources such as the National Student Survey (NSS) and the various University League Tables. Benchmarking Information is available via the WebHub under ‘Business Intelligence > Benchmarking’.
